Old Rasputin Imperial Stout
(North Coast brewing, Fort Bragg, California) Imperial Stout. Dark, deep brown, nearly opaque with a thick tan head. An amazing complex nose with fruity ale notes mingling with roasted malt, star anise, and grape must. Full-bodied with explosive flavors of dark roasted coffee, bitter chocolate, exotic brown spices, and mocha cream. Finishes very warm with trailing hints of cocoa nibs. Incredible!
